Tbilisi (GBC) – As part of the BAG index inquiry, 60.2% of the companies cannot attract skillful and qualified personnel.
This category of
companies have named three key reasons: educational programs in Georgia
mismatch the market requirements, while the corresponding educational programs
are very few or they do not exist at all.
To tackle the
problems with staff qualifications, the companies try to train personnel
themselves. 82% of the inquired companies train the staff themselves.
At thee same time,
44.3% of the companies use the resource of other training centers. Furthermore,
companies actively cooperate with higher and vocational schools, while part
of them have
opened their own training centers.
Because of
insufficient knowledge, the companies cannot attract skilful personnel. 47.6% of the inquired companies assert that it is very difficult to find
highly-qualified personnel.
„All in all, the last survey
that we conducted in the current quarter proves that 51.4% of the companies
complain about problems with attracting qualified workforce”, the report
authors noted.
